Things our seniors should know

This is a list of those ideas that don't appear in our students' curriculum, but that they would likely be expected to know at a mathematics conference or job interview. The point to the list is to find those things that should be in our curriculum, and someday find a place for them.

Students should know something about each of the following topics:

  • complex numbers
  • Conic sections
  • differential equations
  • linear programming

Here are some things we wish our students didn't know. Stoopid Algebra Tricks -- no that's not a course -- yet....
